Television Production

In my six plus years in television production I have learned and improved my skills every day, but more significant to me is that each day I become more confident in my decision to make a career in television production. When I was a child I knew from an early age that I wanted to use my creativity and passion to work in media. My life had a path and a purpose beginning when I was a child.
I was born and raised all across different parts of New Mexico, though briefly with stops in Wyoming and Oklahoma. While in Oklahoma as a kid I began producing my first run of content. I was given a video camera for Christmas of 2003 and I began to document my ever fascinating life as a 10 year old, which was mostly just hours of my dog.
Despite moving around at various points as kid, I always found a way back home to New Mexico, graduating from Capitan High School in 2011 and Eastern New Mexico University in 2015. It was there in college that I really applied myself into seriously making a life out of television. With school, work at KENW and several internships during those four years, I became positive this is what I wanted to do the rest of my life.
After graduation I held a few jobs in production and really began the transition into finding and settling into a career path as a professional. I was very fortunate to find a job right out of school in my hometown with Trident Media Group and was able to save money. Ultimately the goal was to work on my skills and move on to a larger market.
In early 2016 I made the move to Colorado to find work. I made a concerted effort to apply to many places and flood the Denver area with my resume and reel. Quickly my persistence paid off as I was hired as an intern at ROOT Sports. Shortly after that I added work as a freelance production assistant at several outfits and part time work on a morning newscast at KWGN/KDVR. Now I am working full-time at AT&T Sportsnet (which was formerly ROOT Sports) and continuing my freelance work that has included work with the Colorado Rockies, Denver Nuggets, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Rapids, as well as multiple University and High School athletics across the state.
I’ve been very fortunate to meet and learn from some incredible people in the industry during all of these years. I’m extremely grateful to be on the journey that I’ve been on and continue on. All of this is just the beginning of my story, one I’m very proud of, but I know the best of it is still to come.
